“You have to write the book that wants to be written. And if the book will be too difficult for grown-ups, then you write it for children.”
I came across this quote today and thought it too wonderful not to share. It really irks me when people talk about children’s books as being in any way inferior to other forms of writing. Nice to know I’d be fighting the good fight alongside such esteemed crusaders as L’Engle!
